Kyete is the handyman service DBA of Alentra LLC ("Kyete," "we," "us"). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you contact us, book handyman services, authorize payment, sign off on work, or use our SMS/voice/web channels for service addresses in the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County.
1. Information we collect
- Contact information you provide: name, phone number, email address, service address, and access notes.
- Service details: the type of job, urgency, location, and any description you share.
- Communications: the content of SMS messages, voicemails, and call transcripts between you and Kyete.
- Payment and authorization information: dispatch-fee records, Stripe customer IDs, saved-payment-method references, payment intent IDs, authorization/capture status, receipts, refunds, chargeback/dispute records, and payment consent records. We do not store full card numbers.
- Job documentation: estimate approvals, change orders, completion signoffs, typed names or electronic signatures, one-time-passcode confirmations, timestamps, job photos, technician notes, and quality or warranty follow-up records.
- Device, security, and fraud-prevention information: IP address, browser/device details, approximate location/context from system logs, risk signals, and audit logs associated with booking, authorization, signoff, payment, and account access.
2. How we use it
- Schedule and complete the service you requested.
- Send appointment confirmations, dispatch updates, and follow-up messages.
- Process dispatch fees, payment authorizations, final payment captures, refunds, receipts, and saved payment methods.
- Verify estimate approval, change-order approval, customer signoff, and technician completion records.
- Prevent fraud, payment avoidance, chargebacks, unauthorized account use, unsafe jobs, and platform abuse.
- Keep records required for tax, warranty, insurance, collections, fraud prevention, and dispute-resolution purposes.
3. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with:
- The technician assigned to your job: name, phone, service address, job description, schedule, access notes, and completion/signoff status needed to perform the job.
- Our payment processor (Stripe): to process dispatch fees, saved payment methods, payment authorizations, final captures, refunds, fraud screening, and disputes.
- Our accounting tools (Wave Accounting) — for bookkeeping and tax filings.
- Our messaging carrier (SignalWire) — to send and receive SMS and voice calls.
- Insurers, banks, card networks, dispute processors, legal counsel, or collection providers when reasonably necessary to investigate, defend, collect, or resolve a claim, payment dispute, fraud concern, safety incident, or legal obligation.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
4. SMS and voice messaging
By contacting us (by calling, texting, or submitting a booking form), you consent to receive transactional SMS related to your request. These messages may include scheduling, dispatch, arrival, payment authorization, completion signoff, receipt, warranty, and dispute-resolution messages. Message frequency varies with the job. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply HELP for help.
- Reply STOP to opt out. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Retention
We keep service, payment, signoff, tax, warranty, insurance, safety, fraud-prevention, and dispute records for as long as needed to provide the service and for a minimum of seven (7) years afterward, unless a longer period is reasonably needed for a pending claim, chargeback, investigation, collection matter, or legal obligation. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time; we will remove what we are not legally required or reasonably required to retain.
6. Your rights
You may contact us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements above).
- Opt out of SMS (see §4).
7. Payment security
Payment card details are handled by Stripe. Kyete stores limited payment references such as Stripe customer IDs, payment method IDs, payment intent IDs, invoice IDs, charge IDs, authorization/capture status, and receipt or dispute metadata. These references let us process authorized payments and defend against fraud or disputes without storing full card numbers.
8. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), restricted-access databases, limited-access payment references, and minimal data sharing. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected customers promptly if a breach occurs.
