These terms ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by Alentra LLC, doing business as Kyete, a handyman service ("we," "us"), including handyman services and our SMS/voice/web messaging channels. By contacting us or booking a service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Kyete provides general handyman repair and installation services in the St. Louis metro area, including — but not limited to — plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, and fixture installation. Work requiring a licensed trade professional (for example, certain electrical or plumbing work under Missouri or municipal code) will be referred to a licensed provider.
2. Estimates and pricing
Any price or time estimate given before or during scheduling is an estimate only. Final pricing is confirmed by written invoice after work is complete and may reflect actual hours worked, materials used, and unforeseen conditions encountered on site. You will never be billed in excess of an accepted written quote without your prior approval of the change.
3. Payment
Invoices are sent by SMS or email and are due on receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment is processed via Stripe. Unpaid invoices may accrue late fees as permitted under Missouri law.
4. Scheduling, cancellation, and rescheduling
- You may reschedule or cancel by replying to our SMS or calling our number.
- Cancellations made less than two (2) hours before the scheduled start may incur a reasonable trip fee.
- We may reschedule if weather, safety, or emergency reasons prevent on-site work; we will notify you as soon as practical.
5. Messaging (SMS and voice)
When you contact Kyete — by calling our number, texting us, or submitting our quote form — you consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to your service request. This may include greetings, appointment confirmations, dispatch notifications, completion follow-ups, and invoice notices.
- Program name: Kyete Service Updates.
- Message frequency: varies with the job; typically 1–10 messages per service.
- Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
- Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out. Opting out will end all service SMS; you may still reach us by calling.
- Supported carriers: all major U.S. mobile carriers. Delivery is not guaranteed and can be delayed by carrier conditions.
6. Liability and warranty
Kyete carries general liability insurance. We warrant our workmanship for thirty (30) days after completion unless a longer period is agreed in writing. Manufacturer warranties on materials and fixtures are passed through to you.
To the extent permitted by Missouri law, our total liability for any claim related to a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
7. Property access and safety
You authorize Kyete personnel to enter the property at the agreed appointment time to perform the work. You are responsible for notifying us of any hazards, pets, or access restrictions in advance.
8. Disputes
We prefer to resolve any concerns directly — please contact us first. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled in the state or federal courts located in St. Louis, Missouri, under Missouri law.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
